Lovely spacious hotel, cleanliness of a very high standard and obvious to see that all staff work hard to maintain high standards. Well positioned on the promenade and close to restaurants and bars. Good sized rooms which were thoroughly cleaned daily and plenty of cupboard/wardrobe space. Buffet food was varied and good, whilst staff in the dining area were polite and kept tables cleared effectively. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
When i first arrived in Albir i did use some sun cream but I burnt my head and face and my head was sore and I had a big blister on my nose so I thought I would stay out of the sun for a while and decided to watch the television in the room but the reception was terrible and kept breaking up on the only 2 channels I could watch bbc 1 and itv1 so I asked the reception if they could sort it and they sent a Spanish engineer who didn't speak English who changed the aerial cable which made no difference and he pointed to outside meaning it was the weather ? On a nice day then I asked at the reception if they would move me to another room as I wasn't happy with room 410 because it had a bath not a shower which I couldn't use because of my arthritis in my feet and legs but they said sorry we don't have any spare room's and that they couldn't add any extra English television stations which i knew they could if they were being more helpful and none of the staff at the reception were very happy and don't remember ever seeing any of there staff smile except the cleaner's, I then asked the reception manager if he would give me a refund for the 5 day's I had left and that I would go elsewhere which he also refused so the next day I booked a flight home and told them I was checking out and wanted my money back which he declined and later said they would give me the refund if I informed booking.com first and if they said yes they would give me the refund but when getting back home and trying my best to contact booking.com which is made extremely difficult but I eventually went through asking for a cancellation to the hotel thinking I had informed booking.com I was sent a message saying cancellation refused, I wouldn't advise anyone to stay at this kactus hotel or to use booking.com who don't care what happens to you once they have your money and now I am having difficulty in deleting my account with booking.com ??
