During my stay I loved it and the staff were great. No problem whatsoever. Also, the rooms could do a bit of a paint or a little bit of up to date work. The beds are comfy and I love everything about it. WiFi had its tantrums but still great. The pool was clean and nice, glad to see it was deep too. The food though really needs an improvement though. There’s not much selection and it feels like nearly everyday it’s just fish or mussels. The mussels are nice though. It’s the only reason I didn’t put excellent. Holiday World was just over the road but I didn’t really do anything there. Some old shopping centre called Faro 2 looked proper derelict and old it was abandoned but it had about 2 more shops! Probs won’t last longer though. Spar was kinda far because the one next to us was being renovated. The activites were great and the animation team was awesome! They all really got along with the kids and stuff and were friendly. I don’t know his name but the entertainment guy (he had a French accent I think ) was really funny. I loved him, and the people. The cleanliness was probably 5/5. The shower was really nice and the bathroom was squeaky clean. We were over the road from the main bit and the road so it wasn’t that loud. Perfect sound level. And we had a pool behind us. All in all, great hotel. Would come back again. Loved it. I wrote this now because I leave tomorrow. Great hotel, goodbye!
Lovely entertainment staff, always smiling and my daughter loves all of them
** Long review ** We were there from 10th-17th June (sadly just home) Firstly, we emailed ahead about rooms and zones and we were given exactly what we asked for, staff were amazing especially the entertainment team. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Staff at reception are very helpful when it comes to giving directions and ordering taxis or anything really they were happy to help and approachable. Entertainment was different every night the staff running it are great at keeping it interesting. It does happen quite late but you're on holiday so.... activities also happen loads throughout the day (archery, pool running mat, poolside games, ect) kids club is also great offers face painting, drawing, small soft play area ect. All inclusive drinks are good, a great selection no issues with that. Definetly recommend taking a drinks holder to carry drinks, super helpful. Obviously this hotel is slightly situated away from local towns so you do need taxis (unless you want to walk) its between 6 and 8 euros for taxis. We ventured out every evening. The closest shop was a 20 minute walk away, again easy to get to, the spar that every one talks about is still closed for renovations. This was not a problem for us at all, nice walk down. We visited the waterpark (this was included in our package) absolutely fantastic, expensive but worth it, you pay for sun loungers and food inside which is costly, so I'd advise taking your own pack lunches and juice in, which is allowed. We seen loads of locals in there with cool boxes ect. We also visited playa de ingles the most and the light house town, playa de ingles was far better if you have children, the light house area we found was more 5star and more expensive, not much to do in that area other than take a picture of the lighthouse lol you get your usual looky looky guys down in playa de ingles trying to sell you their kidney but a polite no and they leave you alone. We only saw a couple of cockroaches and yes there is a couple of cats roaming but we never seen poo or smelt pee anywhere in our time there. If a cat does happen to roam in the restaurant which we saw once, staff were quick to usher it out. Only downfall for us was the pools were too deep and the food was repetitive. Me and my husband could eat easy but our children struggled a bit. However, they always found something, the snack bar serves hotdogs, pizza and burgers every day 12-4 which they enjoyed more than anything else 😂 Around the pool area the floor literally becomes like hot lava so definitely wear shoes. Its an ouch!! **Cleaning** definitely take your own wipes to clean tables ect if you have stuff on them the cleaners won't touch them to clean, they cleaned our room 5 out of 7 days we were there. The hotel itsself is clean and well kept. But could do with a lick of paint in areas. We loved the fact it gave us that villa feeling to the aparentments, if you are ground floor you get your own patio area and sun loungers. Overall we had the most amazing time and loved every bit of our time in this hotel, we met some amazing families whilst there and the kids enjoyed it which is the most important for us. We seen all the bad reviews but to be honest I don't see what others are complaining about its maybe not a 4 star more 3 star but it was still fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed ourself.
We've been going to the canaries for 10yrs this was the worse self catering place we've stayed, towels were changed but bedding not changed floors never cleaned, on site restaurant closed for 2 weeks, loud music kids in the pool until 1am, I will never recommend this hotel most of the staff we're unhelpful and mot interested
This is a fair honest review Rooms are spacious we found the beds really massive but uncomfortable Sheets never got changed during our 12 night stay Didn’t clean our room for first 5 days. Constantly asked reception for a clean and fresh towels,. Bin didn’t get emptied for 4 days The floors are filthy. When we arrived our bathroom windows had been left open so bath and sink full of bugs. Those bugs were still there when we left. Needless to say the bathroom certainly didn’t get cleaned either the entirety of our stay. Nice cold fridge in room and lots of storage. Air con did work but not great Tv remotes didn’t work properly The floors are filthy under the bed and sofa was disgusting never saw a mop used. The cleaning was one of the worst issues for me. Now for the food. . I know it’s all inc and I absolutely don’t expect cordon bleu food and I can always find something in any hotel I’ve stayed in but it’s literally the same thing every day. Breakfast never changes. Lunch seems to be the better option. The salads aren’t great, it’s just dry cabbage and lettuce occasionally there was a coleslaw but not often. No area for kids meals which is usually a staple in most family friendly hotels. Fish fingers though every day, there is a vegan corner that is literally just vegetables turning brown and dry in a corner. The food labeling is poor especially if you have allergies. Very slow at replenishing the food. The pizzas were pretty good but you can’t live on pizza for two weeks and it was always the same flavour. Literally one type of cheese breakfast lunch dinner every day , never cold The same with the fruit, melon, grapes, apples bananas every day with the occasional orange, puddings again same thing everyday stale dry cakes. Ice cream was hit and miss. Never saw a mushroom, chicken nugget, bit of mozzarella no broccoli, peas, green beans just literally cooked tomatoes, dry brown cooked cabbage slimy aubergine. No continental meat selection, cold grey cooked carrots on a salad bar every single night was the same It was so repetitive. The bread is so dry. I honestly couldn’t cope with the food after a week so we ate out. Joeys restaurant was terrible too. They ran out of food the night we were there and it never got replenished and you only have a certain time slot for your sitting. So we didn’t bother booking again The animation team are fantastic so friendly and amazing with kids of all ages. However the kids club didn’t start until 8pm so was too late for most of the smaller kids/toddlers Evening entertainment was so bad. There is also no seating areas on an evening with tables except for around the kids club but it’s more of a theatre setting so no tables. Two of the pools are heated which was fantastic as the others are like ice baths Kids splash zone great for the kids also the kids club with soft play was fantastic for a break from the sun. Life guards around the pool. One in particular was so lovely and so helpful. Now CATS. they are a problem, signs all over the hotel asking you not to feed them as they have a designated area where they all get fed in zone 1. Why oh why do people ignore this.!! The amount of times we saw cats urinating was terrible including on my grandsons pushchair. Staff were reluctant to help clean it.there is piles of cat poo also and it absolutely stinks. But an even bigger concern is the pool areas have all been Astro turfed and in the nearly two weeks we were there we never once saw anyone hosing down any of these areas so my advice would be not to walk barefoot around the hotel. The cleaning is really not good at this hotel. Cigarettes ends everywhere!! There are cockroaches everywhere which yes I know is normal for hotter climates but the lack of cleaning especially with food being left all over the pool areas certainly encourages them not to mention people dropping food to feed the cats. Definitely would not return This hotel needs some serious improvements
