The hotel is tired and dated including the rooms. Towels are paper thin, stained carpets and shabby decor. The breakfast offering is very basic with the hot food being cold and inedible. The ‘restaurant’ is dated and depressingly shabby. Our first morning we went to the pool area and were shocked by what we found. Seagull excrement covering the pool decking and sprinkling the sunbeds but worst of all the pool bottom was covered in seagulls poo. There was a dead fish rotting in the pool presumably regurgitated by a seagull. We found chicken bones in the pool and surrounding area. After 2 days when no one cleaned the pool I reported it to Jet2 customer service and was called by the resort customer rep. She promised that the hotel manager would come to speak to me. This didn’t happen even though I saw the manager every day in the hotel. The pool was cleaned the next day but we were still reluctant to use the pool as we were not convinced about the cleanliness and whether the water was tested properly, we did have an elderly relative with us and were anxious to avoid any tummy upsets. There was also cracked uneven and raised grating around the pool which was a significant trip hazard. I reported this and it was fixed on the Saturday the day we went home.
I would not stay here again if you paid me. The hotel did give us a later check out for free as a gesture for the issues raised as we had a late flight home but an apology from the manager would have been appropriate. The free late check out did not compensate for not using the pool at anytime during our 7 night stay. We also found out that the Beach Bar at the hotel did not open until 04 June and there were no sunbeds or parasols on the beach that we coiuld have used as an alternative to the filthy pool area. However the beach is lovely and it would have been nice to have the chance to use it.
Review by elainew668Not recommended, very tired and in need of refurb, staff unhelpful
We stayed 4 nights in this hotel, we wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend it. Firstly the good bits: our room was a decent size, the shower was excellent and location was ideal, just a short walk away from the Old Town. The bedding was dreadful, 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single duvet covers. Breakfast was awful, the “hot” food was stone cold, items weren’t replenished when empty, we had to ask for the basics like bread for toast, the staff were quite rude and unhelpful, even lazy. Cleaning of the room was very basic, bins emptied, towels changed and that was it. We spent as little time there as possible.
Review by Div67Great location for a relaxing beach break.
Loved the place, great location on the beach, staff friendly and prices very reasonable. We went end of September when most places were closing for the season so that was dissapointing but had a lovely relaxing break all the same. Heading back out end of August this year for 2 weeks and looking forward to it.
Review by lindawE9938IXGood 3 and a half star hotel
Overall the hotel is good. The rooms are large, the beds are pretty comfortable - a little hard for us but thats just personal choice, everywhere is clean, and the location is brilliant as its right on the beautiful beach. The bedrooms need redecorating and the carpets either cleaned or replaced, new towels, and maybe an extra couple of lights in the corridors as we found it a bit disconcerting having to walk in the dark for short periods when going to our room. We always chose to go with bed and breakfast as we like to support the local cafes and restaurents, and we were glad that we did as we didnt enjoy the breakfasts. There was plenty of choice but everything was tepid, we ate in one evening but found the meal a bit tasteless. There was a kettle in the room with coffee and tea sachets but they werent replaced once we used them. We would return to this hotel
Review by basilcatpussmogMirage and it’s DOGS
The hotel is in prime position on the beach reception staff are lovely but that’s where it looses points after that 🤨the breakfast was very very underwhelming we ate out most days or it was just cornflakes and toast for us a croissant would have been nice if they didn’t allow people to take plate loads out of the restaurant. It was 3 types of eggs the scrambled being the previous days leftover fried eggs white beans in tomato soup and 3 types of sausage ?? Plus some sort of ham plus salad etc we saw chips most morning (cold) or chicken in breadcrumb !! And even cheeseburger with lettuce the mirage allow DOGS in the hotel and they are allowed in the dining room which is far from hygienic especially when sat on the seats and being fed breakfast ( yes you with the white scotty dog ) one even had a poo under the table and the owners weren’t pleased when I told them to clean it up jet 2 never mention this in brochure . On arrival day I wrote wipe me on bathroom bin in the dust and it was still there yesterday when we left and we nearly had a party for the cobwebs on walll lights above the bed ! Whilst there a wedding was on and what a nightmare hotel shook with the music and kids were up and down slamming doors running up the corridors and non stop in lifts I asked the reception lady to do something and she said she didn’t understand English ! Very convenient the cleaner was friendly but spent most of her time leant over her trolley texting we were told to ask her to do our laundry which we did but 40 lev for half a carrier bag really !!!! Wouldn’t recommend or go to this again been going to nessebar/ sunny beach 20 years and this hotel is in bottom 3 Paradiso booked for next sept we viewed it and it’s excellent for us
